1,2 Million for Stallion at Hannoveraner auction (VIDEO)

At the Hannoveraner Verband Stallion Auction in Germany a new record amount has been bid for the Westfalian sire Rouletto. The son out of Rocky Lee switched owner for no less than 1,2 million Euro.

In the past only Hannoveraner-stallions were auctioned. Since the Studbook works together with the Rheinishces Pferdestammbuch other studbook's sires can be presented as well. This is also the reason why the top-sale of today is from another studbook.

Two Danish studfarms battled it out for this stallion. Blue Hors and Andreas Helgstrad made it a scene never been witnessed before. Eventually Andreas Helgstrand went home with the (only) 2 and a half year old sire.
