After reaching a fantastic age of 27 years old, the VDL Stud had to say goodbye on Thursday 13/07/2017 to the Keur stallion Indorado. Indorado has meant a lot for the VDL Stud.
He was a big stallion with a lot of scope for jumping. Under Jur Vrieling he was successful at international level and achieved various high placings in Grand Prix.
As a sire, Indorado was well-known for producing big, long lined horses with an unlimited amount of scope. His best-known descendants are Eurocommerce Milano and Eurocommerce Lanapoule, both horses won under Gerco Schroder several Grand Prix and World Cup Qualifiers.
VDL Oranta won several major prizes in the USA including the Grand Prix of Tampa under Chris Kappler.
Indorado did not cover anymore the past few years and experienced his old day at the place of family Eefting in Rohel. Indorado is still highly appreciated in breeding by a large number of strong breeding daughters.
