Aachen puts an end to Guy Williams' Titus' career

Aachen puts an end to Guy Williams' Titus' career
Yesterday guy Williams' 17-year-old horse, Titus experienced an unfortunate landing after the double combination. The Lancelot-son was taken away by ambulance while walking on three legs during the Nations Cup in Aachen.

This morning our team met Guy Williams who stated the verdict is clear. A strained Tendon puts an end to the career of the gelding. "For Titus this is the end of his sportive career. I was already planning to do less competitions, it's just unfortunate it had to happen today, at this place," states Williams.

After Aachen Titus will join Williams home and enjoy his retirement in the green meadows. "I don't think he will ever jump again. I already like to thank Charlotte Baines and Joseph Rekert for all the trust they've given me with their horse."

Also the British teamchef, Di Lampard stated some facts:“It appears Titus may have strained a ligament. His leg will be scanned today by the vet and then we will know more. Obviously, at his age it could be career threatening but we don’t know yet — fingers crossed it won’t be. Guy thinks it did happen when Titus stepped back with his front leg in the water.”
