Austrian rider banned after terrible show jumping ride

The Austrian show jumping rider, Bernhard Maier has provoked a lot of controversie on social media after a channel published his not so flattening show jumping ride during the CSI1* in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.

As a result the Austrian Federation (OEPS) has taken immediate action. In an official release the federation has stated the actions of their national rider are 'a disgrace for the sport."

As a result the federation has banned the rider. The final decision still has to be confirmed by other federations and national organisatons. "We're putting all efforts on the job to call a halt to this type of riding."
