Court rules in favor of Philippaerts during horse fraud case
In a ruling of the criminal court of Antwerp has decided that Ludo Philippaerts and Stud Dorperheide need to be compensated for the loss in a fraude cause that hit them. When selling the horse Amaretto d'Arco the ex-top showjumper and his stable were lifted and they will nog be compensation of 725,000 euros.

Additionally the previous owners of stud Arenberg werealso sentenced to 15 months imprisonment and 2750 euro fine. The stud itself was acquitted.

Ameratto that was owned by both stud farms was stabled at Stud Arenberg and sold from there in 2008. The horse was then sold in 2008 sold without his knowledge of Philippaerts. When the owner of Stud Dorperheide confronted "Patrick S and Louise M ' the pair claimed they sold the horse for an amount of 500,000 euros to USA breeding Spy Coast. They promised the other owner half of the amount. But Philippaerts later found out that the horse was not sold for half a million but a total amount of 1.45 million euros.
