Edward Levy: Representing France is a dream coming true
Edward Levy, one of the best talent of the new generation, after a really brilliant season and after winning with Team France last qualifying leg of the FEI Nations Cup Jumping 2017 Europe Division 2 series in CSIO5*Gijon, Spain, with his fabulous stallion Sirius Black and after his great results in CSI5* as Valence and Ascona, enters the top French Team. Edward Levy and Sirius Black were selected by Chef d’Equipe Philippe Guerdat to represent France at Nations Cup Final circuit in Barcelona from 28 September to 1 October. So the 22 years old is now in the high spheres of show jumping. Sirius Black (Selle Français 2006, Calisco du Pitray x Laudanum), owned by Bruno and Sophie Coutureau and the association Show Jump International, started on the 145 competitions at the beginning of the year and had a very rapid evolution, dues not only to his own qualities as a jumper but even more to the deep feeling and communication with his young rider.

The horse belonged to Sophie and Bruno Coutureau, where Edward spent his youth and who coached him for a few years: “One day, on the Grand National de Deauville, I saw Sirius jump and I fell in love – says Edward - It is thanks to my owners who support me every day, ShowJump and Bruno and Sophie, who trust me that I was able to welcome Sirius Black in November 2016 in my stables. For a year and a half, Edward has his stable at Haras du Breuil, at Charles-Henri Fermé, near Deauville, Normandie. Thanks to the association Show Jump International and other owners who trust him, he currently have a stable of sixteen sports and commercial horses.

Among them, there are Starlette da la Roque, 11 years old, French seven year old champion in Fontainebleau, and now a very good jumper in 150mt. Rafale D’Hyverniere, 12 years mare very good jumper in 145/150 mt. Umbrella Ter Wilgen Z eight years mare with a lot of scope. Lagavulin, eight years stallion that is making experience. Venezia d’Elke, eight years mare that is starting to jump in 140 mt.

Edward Levy started to ride at 10 year old in Normandie. He dues his good riding and professionalism above all to Eric Louradour, Patrice Delaveau and Ludger Beerbam. Actually he is trained by with Bertrand de Bellabre who supports him in the daily work and bases the training on relaxation, calm, comfort and trust between rider and his horses.
