Further IHL agreed to sponsor 80,000 Euro to Brichart for his competition costs in Vilamoura earlier this year. However the money went elsewhere, as Brichart's debt is still open in Portugal. In total the rider still needs to settle for about 37,000 euro, paying stabling costs, dinners, farrier and vet.
On Saturday night, Brichart and his family left their stable with a total of 12 horses. IHL Riding Equipments is owner for 50% of the horses and is now in search for Brichart and his family, to see their horses returned.
IHL has announced the 'theft' of their horses. The 22-year-old Brichart jumped up to the highest international level. Last month the pair competed in Aachen and earlier this year at the international shows in Vilamoura. The rider competed by Boosty Chavannais (by Radco d'Houtveld), Bambou Ideal Home (by Schindler De Muze), Boni Equi Caval (by Quistello) and Wanted by Wonderland Z (by Waranta).
In a reaction The Brichart Family stated the cooperation ended because IHL Riding Equipments didn't follow their sponsor agreement. All open debts were in agreement invoiced to IHL Riding Equipments. The family decided to leave their stable facility as they wanted to put a halt to the one-sided sponsor agreement.
It is true they took home some horses with them. However in total it were nine horses and as long as the court hasn't decided differently they belong for 100% to the Brichart family.
