Henri Prudent and Marilyn Little receive FEI yellow cards

Henri Prudent and Marilyn Little receive FEI yellow cards
The FEI has recently updated the list our their yelllow cards warning system and we are sad to annouche that two USA riders got one of these penalties during the last few weeks of the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington Florida. Both Henri Prudent and Marilyn Little got a yellow card for "minor" incidents for not following rules and orders of the FEI officials.

Prudent received his card on March 16th while getting in an arguement over longing a third horse in the designated area for longing.  Henri  was the third to enter the area when the FEI official sent him away saying only up to two horses ware allowed. Due to it being the fact that the weeks before up to three horses could be longing there at the same time Prudent got into a minor argument about how he did not get notified the rules had changed.

“Most riders feel like the stewards get a little out of control by the end of the Florida circuit. Everyone is tired, and nerves are frayed. The stewards tend to make up their own rules and then enforce them in a very aggressive way. We had many meetings about this problem at the end of Florida. We’ve discussed it with higher authorities in the  USEF and the FEI, and it is a problem that will be taken care of in the future.” Henri's wife Katie told Chronicle Of the Horse.

Little her card dates back a little bit further. She also received it during the WEF on the 18th of Februari. She received one for her groom, that did not have the right acces, passing equipment over the fence into the enclosed stable area. When she came back to the stables she noticed that her groom and a FEI official were in an argument that in the end resulted in Little getting a yellow card.

She told Chronicle of the Horse that she was very surprised to even receive the card. However she does regret that it happened, rules are the rules. Since then she had a talk about it with her groom to make sure things like this will not happen again.
