NAF and British Dressage unite to develop stars of the future
British Dressage is delighted to confirm NAF as the new headline sponsor of its youth teams for riders under 21 in an exclusive, three year deal. The Pony, Junior, Young Rider and Children on Horses squads will ride under the Team NAF banner throughout the season, culminating at their European Championships in July and August. The announcement was made at the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships at Hartpury in Gloucestershire on the seventh anniversary of their sponsorship of the sport’s largest Championship fixture.

The Monmouthshire based equine supplement manufacturer will now also be recognised as one of the sport’s official partners, alongside Shearwater Insurance and Harrison Clark Rickerbys.

With over 30 years' of experience, NAF has grown into the most respected and well known equine supplement brand in the industry and their commitment to quality mirrors that of British Dressage.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome NAF on board as an official partner and sponsor to our youth teams,” said Jason Brautigam, British Dressage Chief Executive. “It’s a brand which has a long association with dressage and this extension to cover our stars of the future is a mark of their commitment to long, lasting partnerships and supporting talent development. The team at BD and those behind the youth squads are immensely grateful for your contribution and looking forward to working closely with NAF to make their support count where it matters most and hopefully bring home some more medals for Britain.”
Richard Cleeve, Chairman of NAF said; “It is with great enthusiasm that we announce our partnership with BD to sponsor the British Dressage Youth Teams, riding as Team NAF. It is of paramount importance to cultivate the talent of the future to ensure the success and longevity of the sport. My father was a great supporter of developing young riders and I know he would be delighted too.”

The four youth teams administered by BD include the Ponies (riders aged 12 – 16 on ponies 148cm or under), Juniors (riders 14 – 18) and Young Riders (riders 16 – 21), as well as Children on Horses (riders 12 – 14). Some of the sport’s top names like Laura Tomlinson, Maria Eilberg and Fiona Bigwood have all been part of the youth teams and gone on to win medals in the Senior ranks. NAF also proudly supports Bobby Hayler, Alice Oppenheimer and Phoebe Peters, who’ve all competed on one of the teams at the youth European Championships.

NAF’s support will go towards a year-round programme dedicated to nurture future talent, getting the most out of our riders to realise their full potential – and ultimately win medals at their annual Championships.

For 2017, the Championship agenda is as follows:25–30 July 2017 – Kaposvar, Hungary – Pony European Championships
9–13 August 2017 – Roosendaal, Holland – Children on Horses, Junior and Young Rider European Championships

A comprehensive schedule of training, test riding, squadding, camps and nominated competitions all combine to produce the four squads who will proudly compete as Team NAF for Great Britain.

NAF’s premium range of Five Star brands include Superflex, Superflex Senior, PROFEET, Optimum, Magic, Oestress and Respirator Boost with quality at the heart of everything they do. They are a UFAS (Universal Feed Assurance Scheme), GMP+ (International Feed Assurance Scheme) and BETA NOPS (Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances) accredited company and this enables them to guarantee full traceability on all the natural ingredients they utilise in their formulations, which are also selected in compliance with the FEI guidelines for Clean Sport.

The first opportunity for Team NAF to sport the team colours will be at the forthcoming CDIO3* for Ponies, Juniors and Young Riders at Saumur in France, 27 – 30 April.
