Sad news strikes horse community as young showjumper dies in car crash
Teenage show jumping rider, Ella Popely has been killed after being involved in a two-vehicle collision near Leith Hill on Tuesday morning.

Surrey Police has confirmed that an 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after being involved in a collision in Leith Hill Road, Coldharbour at around 10.40am on Tuesday.

A police man confirmed:  "At around 10.40am a Fiat collided with an Audi travelling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Fiat, an 18-year-old girl, was sadly declared dead at the scene."

Last summer Ella Popely won the 1.30m CSI1* show jumping at Verbier aboard Little Luidam.  Aboard her horses Little Luidam and Mac One III she placed at the Allington Arena UK CSI1*, CSI1* Lummen, CSI1* Hardelot, CSI2* Hasselt, etc.
