Unlucky distance is fatal for horse on Dutch competition

Disaster struck yesterday for Sanne van Gendt at a Dutch showground in Schaijk as her horse Lincom Fuchs ( v . Arezzo) misjudged the tripple ending into a tragic fatal accident for the thoroughbred. Van Gendt her selve sustained no major injuries.

Breeder and owner Cor van der Linden who was checking up on competition with his horse after a while was present when accident happend. The horse took the distance between the second and third element of the triple jump in one rather than two strides and fell into the obstacle. Lincom Fuchs 's landed on his head and broke his neck instantly.

"Now and then I can be bit grumpy about horse people. But today they all came to together for us.  I was impressed by the help that was offered and the kind words and comments we have received . My deepest sympathies go to Sanne, losing a horse like this. However we are all glad that she is oke" said Cor van der Linden,
