EC: Interview with Nico Hörmann about the reining Championships

"I am very satisfied and we are ready to go!” the national coach, Nico Hörmann, said about the final preparations before the FEI European Reining Championships in Aachen, which are being staged from August 14th-16th. "All horses and riders were in top form at the training camp. I am more than confident and we are all looking forward to the European Championships! At all competitions I have experienced so far, we have never had such a strong team before!"

According to the current status, the following horses will be competing in Aachen:
* Grischa Ludwig with Shine My Gun
* Volker Schmitt with Smokin Mifillena
* Stephan Rohde with Smarty Diamond
* Elias Ernst with USS N Dun It
* Verena Klein with Olena Joe Cody
* Oliver Stein with Timbers Whizzer

The reining competitions begin on Friday, August 14th, with the Final of the team classification, which is simultaneously the first qualifier for the individual classification. The second qualifier for the individual classification, the "Prize of the Firma Horsch, Der Entsorger", is scheduled on Saturday, August 15th. After this competition there is going to be an exciting reining show starting at 9 p.m. The big final then follows on Sunday, August 16th: The "HAVENS Pferdefutter Prize" (from 10 a.m. onwards) will decide which of the individual riders claims gold. All competitions are being held in the temporarily roofed Deutsche Bank Stadium.
