DHI Zulu, DY’ON’s best presented horse at the International Bromont

The Dy’on prize for best presented horse was awarded to DHI Zulu, a British Warmblood mare born in 2009, from Zapatero and Aranda, property of Groupe Ninou, during the International Bromont at the Olympic Equestrian Park.

Start of the 42^nd edition
Hundreds of riders and horses are assembled at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park for the 42^nd edition of the International Bromont. The event started on July 26, 2017, while the first FEI sanctioned ended with Canadian rider Ali Ramsay and her mount Hermelien VD Hoodhoeve winning on July 28.

Before participating in this welcoming event, horses registered in the international events, had to face a panel of international officials during the veterinarian’s first inspection. This mandatory inspection allows the Ground Jury and the Veterinary Delegate to make sure that each horse presented is fit to compete.

The Dy’on Prize for best presented horse
As thirty-four horses were presented at the inspection, DHI Zulu, an 8 year-old mare, has won the first-ever Dy’on Prize for best presented horse. With her rider Jennifer Serek, they will represent Canada over the next two weeks of competitions.

“The Dy’on Prize for best turned out horse rewards, as its name indicates, the horse that has impressed the officials the most with its physical condition, behaviour and general appearance at the first inspection,” explains the Show Manager,

DHI Zulu, under the excellent care of her groom, Zoé Campagna, already dons on the winner’s kit, a leather halter and lead strap as well as a beautiful wool blanket.
