It was the Chinese anthem that sounded after the 1.50m Longines Ranking Class at the Equuleus Open CSI3* event. It was China’s Da Rima who speeded to victory aboard the 13-year-old gelding, Z Wellie 72. The pair speeded to victory in 80.61 seconds.
A pair of Dutch show jumping riders completed the stage. Tom Martens followed as runner-up with the 9-year-old Larcon. Martens stopped the clock at 81.48 seconds and was followed by compatriot Vincent Vermeulen who earlier already won the 1.35m class.
Jerry Smits (Cognac du Vlits Z) and Lian Ruiji with the Darco-daughter, Indiana van’t Heike completed the top five.
