Hans-Dieter Dreher unbeatable in Ascona's CSI5* Grand Prix
It was an astonishing five star Grand Prix in Ascona, Switzerland, set at a height of 1.60m only 13 combinations returned for the Jump-off. They all wanted their share of the 275.000 euro in prize money.

Eventually it was Germany's Hans-Dieter Dreher who jumped to victory with the 9-year-old Berlinda (by Berlin). The pair crossed the finish line in 38.36 seconds taking home over 90.000 euro. Michael Whitaker followed as runner-up aboard the 10-year-old Chacco Blue-son, Calisto Blue.

Whitaker stopped the clock in 38.71 seconds. Belgium's Wilm Vermeir followed to complete the stage. Together with Iq van het Steentje (by Toulon) Vermeir made a clear finish in 38.83 seconds.

The top five was completed by Dutch show jumping rider, Wout-Jan Van der Schans (Capetwon, by Oklund) and Yuri Mansur (Unita Ask, by Corrado I) in a fourth and fifth place.
