Lorenzo de Luca has switched his first place to settle for second as Harrie Smolders jumps into the lead of the GCT ranking. After his class in Cannes, Smolders stated: “My strength is in my horses. I have two with Emerald and Don, who jump everywhere clean rounds... . I’ve one result more than the others, but it’s still a long way to go. In the end the key word will be consistency, and to be in the second round also, which is not so easy."
Smolders' compatriot, Maikel Van der Vleuten is currently in third positon with 124 points and followed by Christian Ahlmann and Alberto Zorzi.
