Rob Ehrens; I could easily send two teams to Rio

Yesterday the Dutch Show jumping team impressed in the FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup at the CHIO in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The Netherlands ensured their spot for the Nations Cup Finals in Barcelona, Spain later this year. Meanwhile the CHIO in Rotterdam is as well the selection for the Olympic riders representing the Netherlands in Rio.

 

Teamchef Rob Ehrens stated his luxury problem... an oversupply of great, capable combinations. "After 11 years of hard work we finally managed," states Ehrens. It was since 2003 the Dutch team had won the Rotterdam Nations Cup.

"I noticed a healty rivalry in our group, on the road to Rio 2016. I will wait until after the Nations Cup competitions in Falsterbo and Aachen to decide the Olympic team. At this moment I can easily send two teams."

For the next Nations Cup it will be Jeroen Dubbeldam, Gerco Schröder, Wout Jan van der Schans, Jur Vrieling and Johnny Pals to represent the Netherlands.
