Second GLOCK’s Amateur Tour victory for Nina Barbour

Second GLOCK’s Amateur Tour victory for Nina Barbour
Facing the 20 participants in the GLOCK’s Amateur Tour today was a jumping accumulator over 1.30 m. Those aiming for the full score of 65 points and a chance to contest victory were obliged not only to overcome all the obstacles in the course without penalties but also to choose the more difficult joker variant at the last jump. Eight duos achieved these feats and, as on the opening day yesterday, the fastest time was delivered by a British woman.

Nina Barbour (GBR) made the demandingly laid out course look easy and piloted Douglas Delight magnificently to the finish in 53.35 seconds. “I hope I can maintain my form for the final tomorrow. I don’t want to disappoint my horse, she’s simply a star!” commented the now twice winner of the GLOCK’s Amateur Tour.

Also achieving the full points score was Carinthia’s Mario Tschaitschmann in second place. In the saddle on ten-year-old Ria de Janeiro, he completed his round in 55.78 seconds, pushing fellow Carinthian Caroline Wimmer on Athen into third place (65/56.73).
