Falsterbo Horse Show will place cameras in warming-up area
This weekend the Falsterbo Horse Show in Sweden will place a camera in the warming-up area. All competitors will be filmed during their warming-up. The organization put in a camera in the hope of ruling out 'horse abuse'.

The last couple of years the show was home to a discussion about horse cruelty during the warming-up of several riders. Also the stewards would handle to late according to the discussions. In 2015 it was Danish rider Andreas Helgstrand who became a big part of this discussion after several photos showed up of the rider. In the photos it was seen that he asked to much expression in the neck of the horse according to the welfare organization Epona.tv.

The Danish Equestrian Federation decided afterwards that Helgstrand had to film his warming-ups and training routines.

The organization exclaims that there will be no cameraman to follow the horses and their riders in the warming-up area. But a strategic placed camera will follow their movements and could be consulted if needed by the FEI.

The Falsterbo Horse Show will be held this weekend from 14 till 16 july.
