Last weekend all eyes in Europe were on the Saut Hermés Paris. But in the USA on other side of the ocean there was a Titans fight with a lot at stake. In California top athletes gathered for the Grand Prix at HITS Thermal. And there was $ 1 million earnings to win!
Not only American riders had flew to Thermal to claim the big prize. Some European top riders including the Irishman Cian O’Connor were also hoping to earn a few pennies.Only six combinations qualified for the jump-off to see the overall victory which go to Mandy Porter. In the saddle of Milano (v. Orlando Heffinck), the American rider clocked the unbeatable time of 41.60 seconds.
Canadian neighbor Tamie Phillips came in second with cristar (v. Cristo) The pair just fell short by 0.3 seconds. O’Connor did not fly to California for nothing either. He took his horse Goodluck (v. Canturo) to a third palce in 43.98 seconds.
The fourth and fifth place also went to European riders. German Andre Thieme was fourth with Conthendrix, while Frenchman Eric Navet and Catypso took the fifth place.
