Belgian riders rule the show at first day Jumping Antwerp
In the beautiful city of Antwerp, a busy international weekend has started. While the 5-star riders have to wait until this evening to start their classes, the 1- and 2-star riders have already entered the show show ring today.

The first class of the day was the 1m15 class of the two star competition. In this class it was the Belgian lady rider who ruled the show. Niki Geenens ended not only on first, but also on second place. For the first place, she saddles Gazelle van de Vaelenberg. Together with this 7-year old mare, Geenens jumped a clear second phase in 29,28 seconds. For the second place, she took Helios vd Spelonckhoeve out of his stable. Helios didn't touch the wood and finished in 29,58 seconds. Anna De Doncker completed the podium with Gazelle Van Moretus (v. Cicero). She left the wood untouched and finished in 29,64 seconds.

Karin Oris and Alaska vh Waterschoot Z (v. Asca Z) ended on fourth place. Ann de Bie and Iluna Di Cantero (v. Quadrillo) completed the top five.

In the 1m25 class it was Nico Van der Plaetsen who took the victory. With Ultra Blue J (v. Mister Blue) under the saddle, he jumped a clear second phase in 27,03 seconds. The young Belgian rider Mathias Hazebroek and Hanibal (v. Darco) finished in 28,20 seconds, leaving the wood untouched. Ines Van Den Bosch and Ecoliene (v. Warrant) finished in 28,50 seconds. This time resulted in a third place.

Mike Van Belle and Casino Royal Waterschoot Z (v. Carpe Diem Vhw Z) ended on fourth place. The young Belgian lady rider Zara Poels completed the top five with her 17-year old mare Annemoon (v. Indoctro). They left the wood untouched and finished in 28,89 seconds.

In the 2-star classes it once again were the Belgian riders who ruled the show. In the 1m35 class, it was Dominique Hendrickx who took the victory. He rode Conventa, a 9-year old mare by Kashmir van Schuttershof, to the finish in 32,41 seconds. With this time he beat the British rider Sky Higgin who ended on second place with Quarine de Blondel (f. Quidam de Revel). This combination left the wood untouched and finished in 33,37 seconds. Petronella Andersson and Mouse completed the top three. This Stephex-rider cleared the course in 33,71 seconds.

Sven Van Dijck (Capiche 'Ter Elzen') and Jack Whitaker (Stakkato de Fee) completed the top five.

In the biggest class of the 2-star competition, it once again was a Belgian rider who was the fastest. Emilie Conter, who's birthday is tomorrow, jumped a clear jump-off in 35,57 seconds. She and her Espyrante (f. Obourg) were the fastest of eight combinations in the jump-off. The second place went to another talented young Belgian rider. Boy-Adrian Van Gelderen and Be Cool (v. Vanoverbeek) jumped a clear jump-off in 35,80 seconds. The French rider Alexandra Paillot completed the top three. She saddled Polias de Blondel (f. Desir du Chateau) to cross the finish line in 36,04 seconds.

Dominique Hendrickx and Bacardi Les Hauts (f. Rexar du Houssoit) ended on fourth place. Lada Sobichova and Lord D OR (f. Lordanos) followed on fifth place.
