Conor Swail turns dramatic competition into victory at Spruce Meadows
Ireland's Conor Swail turned a dramatic competition into victory in today's CSIO5* 35,000 1.50m ATCO Founders Classic at Spruce Meadows.

Aboard GK Coco Chanel (Clarimo x Lerano) won the class of 62 riders with 13 in the jump-off. Just a few minutes before his winning round it didn't look like Swail would be able to enter the jump-off. The rider suffered a bad fall on the last fence over the shortened course with his first horse Flower (Bon Ami x Randel Z). Eventually he did compete and speeded to victory.

Eric Lamaze and Chacco Kid (Chacco Blue x Come On) are in top form and placed as runner-up with just 0.01 seconds difference. Swail's compatriot, Cian O'connor followed in a third place with Callisto (Quasimodo Z x Jokinal de Bernival).

Philipp Weishaupt (Call Me Eva, by Chacco Blue) and Karen Polle (Kino, by Lord Z) followed in a fourth and fifth place.
