Everything ready to start the XXXV edition of the International Show Jumping Competition of La Coruna
Everything is already prepared in the equestrian center of Casas Novas, (Arteixo, A Coruña, Spain) to celebrate again a competition of the highest level and to enjoy the best riders of its modality.

With no doubt, a large part of the spotlight of the equestrian world will be in A Coruña since tomorrow, especially, on the 11 tests that will be held in the indoor arena of Casas Novas, seventh stage of the Western European League of the World Cup.

In addition to the five competitions that will take place during the CSI5*W, a CSI2* will be held in parallel, with its six corresponding tests. All designed to enjoy a full equestrian day and for fans to feel the thrill of a competition with several tests to witness.

Everything is getting ready these days at the equestrian center with the arrival of the horses which are all of them already resting in Casas Novas’ stables. 180 participating horses will take this afternoon a rigorous veterinary inspection before competing, to make sure of their correct physical status.

On the other hand, the riders have picked their accreditations up today. In total, there are expected a hundred riders from up to 24 nationalities, highlighting French, German or Dutch delegations, and, of course, the Spanish one.

Among the most outstanding athletes are those who will try to repeat a victory in the Casas Novas Grand Prix, such as Colombian Carlos López, German Ludger Beerbaum, French double winner Julien Epaillard, Spanish Sergio Álvarez Moya or Dutch with two victories Leopold van Asten.

The most technical aspects of the contest are already line up, such as the assembly of the center, as well as the wiring and placement for television broadcasts.

FRIDAY SCHEDULE AND EQUESTRIAN SHOW

The opening day of Casas Novas will be, as it has been the usual the last editions, very special. In addition to the four trophies, two for CSI5*W and two for CS2*, there will be an equestrian show by Santi Serra at the end of the equestrian competitions.

The competition program will start with the CSI2* at 12.30pm with the Inaugural Trophy in modality Fault and Time with an obstacle height of 1.30 meters. The activity of the CSI2* will continue at 2.30 pm with the Marqués de Riscal Trophy, with a Two Phases Against the Clock / Against the Clock and a height of 1.40 meters.

CSI5*W will start in the afternoon. At 5.15pm the first competition will take place, the NH Collection Trophy, in scale Fault and Time and obstacles of 1.45 meters. The day will end with the Massimo Dutti Trophy, in Jump Off modality and 1.50 meters in height. This last test is really important, since the riders who are not directly qualified for the World Cup Grand Prix on Sunday, could get a spot during this competition.

When all trophies of the day are finished, it would be the time for Santi Sierra’s performance. During his show, called "Purity", horses in freedom will represent high-dressage exercises. Serra has already met A Coruña’s public, as he came to Casas Novas a couple of years ago, in this same equestrian arena.

In addition to different television broadcasts on national and international channels, tomorrow's tests can be followed by streaming through the competition’s website www.csicasasnovas.com and the organization’s website www.oxersport.com
