François Mathy Jr takes first victory in St Gallen
In Sankt Gallen the CSIO5* just started with a 1.40m class against the clock. Most riders decide to ride a nice and rather slow round to show the big grass arena to their horses.

Belgian rider François Mathy Jr, who started early in this class, decided to go for victory. With the twelve year old Belgian warmblood horse Falco van de Clehoeve (s. Quickfeuer van Koekshof) he rode a really fast clear round in a time of 56.87 seconds. No other rider could beat this time. One month ago this combination also won the first class at the CSIO4* in Linz-Ebelsberg.

Bertram Allen ended in second place with the eight year old gelding Christy Jnr (s. Indoctro). The Irish rider stayed clear in a time of 59.93 seconds and didn't even come close to Mathy's winning time. Brazilian rider Eduardo Menezes ended in third place with Caruschka 2 (s. Caspar). This duo finished after 60.25 seconds.

Further in the top five we saw Marcus Ehning with Calanda 42 (s. Calido I) and Matilde Giorgia Bianchi with Coeur Blesse Z (s. Conterno Grande). They finished in respectively 60.29 seconds and 60.78 seconds.
