French riders dominate in Deauville
At the international show of Deauville, France, several classes were ridden today and it were the French riders who ruled the show. In the main class of today, the Prix Hôtel Barrière Le Normandy, the victory went to Julien Anquetin. He and his Kannan stallion Quanan Rouge were the fastest combination in a jump-off with sixteen riders. This French combination left the wood untouched and finished in 34,38 seconds. Second came Guy Williams. Williams rode a fast jump-off with Rouge de Ravel (f. Ultimo van ter Moude) but in the end his 35,87 seconds weren't enough to take the victory. Edward Levy completed the top five with the Selle Français stallion Sirius Black (f. Calisco du Pitray). This combination jumped a clear jump-off in 35,89 seconds.

The rest of the top five colored in the French colors as well. Goeffroy de Coligny and Raimondo du Plessis (f. Calin du Plessis) ended on fourth place. Thierry Rozier and Venezia d'Ecaussinnes (f. Kashmir van Schuttershof) followed on the fifth place.

In the 1m30 class it became a French victory as well. In this class, ridden against the clock, Gabin Ramel Jacob and Stress de Villers (f. Iowa) rode the fastest time. They left all fences untouched and finished in 57,98 seconds. The second place went to a French combination as well. Raphael Goehrs and Radieuse du Landey (f. Allegreto) cleared the course in 58,22 seconds. The American lady rider Yasmin Rizvi completed the podium. She rode her Lumiere (f. Clay) to the finish line in 59,61 seconds.

Sam Walker (Fursa van den Dael) and Kirstie Leightley (O'Brion du Plessis) completed the top five. They ended respectively on fourth and fifth place.

In the morning 1m40 class, the complete top five colored in the French colors. Charles Henri Ferme took the victory with his 12-year old Kashmir van Schuttershof mare Volonte D Eve. This combination cleared the course in 65,62 seconds. Grégory Cottard and Une Futee de Wy (f. Diamant de Semilly) ended on second place with a time of 65,87 seconds. Titouan Schumacher and the 15-year old Diamant de Semilly mare Oceane de Nantuel completed the podium. They jumped a clear round in 66,59 seconds.

Alexandrz Ledermann (Urpita One) and Alexis Gautier (Spirit of Semilly) completed the top five.
