Young Martin Fuchs and Chaplin unbeatable in Doha's main class
It was a nice 1.55m class to conclude the day at the CHI Al Shaqab  in Doha. The international five star class saw only eight combinations finishing clear in the Jump-Offs. After an exciting second phase it was Swiss show jumping rider, Martin Fuchs who claimed victory aboard the 10-year-old KWPN-stallion, Chaplin (by Verdi). The pair crossed the finish in 36.91 seconds.

Two Belgian riders completed the stage. Niels Bruynseels and the 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood-mare, Gancia de Muze (by Malito de Reve) set the time at 37.47 seconds. Placing as runner-up the pair was followed by compatriot Pieter Devos and the 12-year-old KWPN-gelding Apart (by Larino).

Devos and his wife's former GP-horse, crossed the finish in 37.64 seconds. Dutch Olympic rider, Maikel van der Vleuten followed in a fourth place.

Together with VDL Groep Arera C (by Indoctro)  Van der Vleuten earlier this year placed second in Bordeaux's 1.50m class. Last year the pair won the international Grand Prix in Amsterdam. Today they settled for the fourth place.

Hong Kong's Grand Prix-victor completed the top five aboard the Zangersheide-bred Caribis Z (by Caritano). Italy's Lorenzo de Luca placed sixth. Together with the 11-year-old Limestone Grey (by Try-Time) the pair showed to be back. Last summer they won multiple international Grand Prix's, after a slow start of the new year, they are now back for some more victories.
