Gregory Wathelet and Coree dashed to victory in the World Cup of Leipzig
In Leipzig the tenth leg of the Longines FEI World CupTM Jumping just finished. 40 combinations came in the ring, 16 of them were clear and qualified for the jump-off. German rider Niklas Krieg was on his way for the win, but Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet put a stop to this.

Wathelet rode a clear jump-off round with the eleven year old mare Coree (s. Cornet Obolensky) in 41.77 seconds. That was just fast enough for the victory. French rider Kevin Staut was just a little bit slower with the chestnut gelding Reveur de Hurtebise HDC (s. Kashmir van Schuttershof), they finished in 41.94 seconds. This was enough for the second place. Niklas Krieg eventually ended in third spot with the thirteen year old Clearway-daughter Carella. They rode a clear round in 43.76 seconds.

The rest of the top five was for Germany. Ludger Beerbaum ended in fourth place with Casello (s. Casall) and Markus Brinkmann was fifth with Pikeur Dylon (s. Diamant de Semilly). They finished in respectively 44.22 seconds and 44.47 seconds.
