Harrie Smolders viert feest na spectaculaire barrage in Grote Prijs FHE Gent

The weekend of international competition in the Flanders Horse Expo in Gent was just closed with the Grand Prix. There were 8 combinations who went through to the jump-off, it was the Dutch rider Harrie Smolders. He was the last to come into the arena for the jump off and was the fastest to go through the finish in 37.07 seconds. He came into the arena with Emerald N.O.P. (by Diamand de Semilly) a world class combination who only needed one stirrup to win this jump off.

Patrick Spits rode with Jacobien Dwerse Hagen (by Va Vite) and made the audience shake in a time of 37.86 seconds. Wouter Devos was the first to start in the jump off, he rode Emporio van't Holeinde (by Hero) and stopped the time in 38.37 seconds.

The fourth place was for Rachel Steffen with under her saddle Farinelli van de Zeshoek (by Pachat II) in a time of 41.75 seconds. On the fifth place came Gilles Thomas with 4 faults during the jump off in 36.75 seconds with his Indiana v/h Kapelhof (by Chatman).
