Jenni Martin McAllister surprises with Royal West Grand Prix victory
The second consecutive Saturday was the international Final day at the Calgary Stampede. The 1.60m Grand Prix of the Royal West saw a total of nine combinations in the final Jump-off. USA's Cara Anthony and the 10-year-old sBs-mare Ayma de la Demi Lune (by Cardento) were the first to start in the Jump-Off. The pair finished with two jumping faults, resulting in 8 points, leaving all chances open for the rivalry combinations.

Canada's Laura Jane Tidball was the first to set a clear round with the 13-year-old Prim' de Lairaud (by Hurlevent de Breka). The pair stopped the clock in 42.70 seconds, and eventually placed second. It was California's Jenni Martin McAllister who speeded to victory. The LA-based show jumping rider earlier this week won the Six Bars, this time the 132,000 CAD Grand Prix with the 10-year-old LEGIS Equine-owned Legis Touch the Sun (by Nekton).

The pair stopped the timer in 41.88 seconds, returning home with 33,000.00 CAD. Christopher Surbey and Chalacorada (by Chalan) completed the stage with four points and the record time of 38.29 sec. Also Edmonton's Jaclyn Duff and Eh All Or None (by Abke) took the necessary risks, resulting in a jumping fault and eventual fourth place.

The top five was completed by Tamie Phillips and Cat Balou (by Converter).
