Jens Van Grunsven speeds to victory in Drachten's GP qualifier
At the first day of the CSI2* ICN Drachten in the Netherlands it was Jens Van Grunsven who claimed the win in the 1.45m Bouwbedrijf van Grunsven price. Aboard the 10-year-old mare Cika, Van Grunsven stopped the clock in 52.21 seconds.

A total of 33 combinations of the 89 starters produced a clear round in this class on time. Sander Geerink and the 12-year-old KWPN-gelding, Robinson (by Rubert R) followed as runner-up. The pair crossed the finish in 53.93 seconds. Germany's Volker Höltgen and Carera 12 (by Carinjo) placed third.

The top five was completed by former Olympic rider, Albert Zoer with the 8-year-old Edorette (by Clinton) in fourth and Ernesto Canseco with the 10-years-old Celebrity VDL (by Indoctro) in fifth.
