A total of twelve combinations qualified for the jump-off. Some were to eager to win. In their race for the win they jumped together one or multiple faults. Eventually it was Dutch Jur Vrieling who took the win with his 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood stallion in 50.32 seconds.
Compatriot, Gerco Schröder and Glock's LAusejunge 16 (by Ludwigs As) came close to the time but with one fault he settled for sixth.
Italy's Alberto Zorzi ensured the excitement on Friday and became the fastest rider with one jumping fault. Aboard Fair Light van T Heike, Zorzi followed as runner-up in 45.92 seconds. The pair was followed by Lorenzo De Luca and Ensor de Litrange LXII (by Nabab de Reve).
The top five was completed by Ireland's Marc McAuley and his 13-year-old Miebello (by Flyinge Quite Easy) in fourth and Alvares Aznar Eduardo with Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot (by L'Arc de Triomphe in fifth.
