Laura Kraut top of the bill at start of 10th WEF week
It was USA's Laura Kraut who claimed the top 1.45m class of today'sWinter Equestrian Festival. During the first day of the 10th week of top sports in Wellington she stayed ahead off Laura Chapot and Emily Moffit.

Aboard her 8-years old Zangersheide bred mare Caelle (by Clinton) she only needed 61.25 seconds to just stay ahead of the competition. Chapot and the Irish bred Thornhill Kate (by Courage II) did make it a photo-finish by crossing the finish line a mere 6 hundred of a seconds later. Moffit, who had switched to British nationality in january, followed with her stallion Zagahorn (by Matterhorn). She finished in third place after a ride in 63 seconds with her 13-year old son of Matterhorn.

The top 5 was claimed by home riders. Lisa Goldman rode her Selle Francais stallion Sovereign (by Frontal) to fourth place. While Chapot and Quointreau Un Prince (byDiamant De Semilly) took home fifth.

Most peculiar were the rides that Todd Minikus, Beezie Madden en Julie Welles put on the clock. All three riders finished in exactly the same time of 63.28 seconds and shared the sixth place.
