Many international top riders will compete at the World Championships for young horses in Lanaken
A lot of international top riders have entered in the World Championships for young horses in Lanaken (Belgium), which will take place next weekend on the property of Zangersheide.

For the Netherlands we will see Willem Greve amongst others, who will bring Carrera (Larino) and Garant (Warrant), now six years old. Garant won the 5 year old series last year in Zangersheide. He will also bring the 7 year old Faro (Calvaro Z). Michel Hendrix will also represent the Netherlands. He will compete with Don Diablo HX (Vittorio) and Entertainer (Warrant). Of course Jur Vrieling will compete as well. He is bringing Dallas VDL (Ard VDL Douglas) and Corporal VDL (VDL Cardento), with whom he finished second in Treffen this year. Fellow countryman who will compete in Lanaken are Dominique Nijhof-Roelofsen (Quidaro), Kevin Olsmeyer (Ferdinand), Johnny Pals (Chat Botte du Ruisseau Z Vignet) and Steven Veldhuis (Fionapina Colada and Galdo). The Netherlands will be represented by 42 participants.

Homeland Belgium also has some nice cards to play. Jeroen Appelen will ride the six year old Giovanni (Vingino), Zoe Conter is bringing her 7 year old Cerruti van Ter Hulst Z (Cassini I) and Pieter Devos will compete with Flash (Numero Uno) in the 7 year old series. For Thierry Goffinet it will be a busy weekend, as he is bringing seven horses to the World Championships for young horses. One of them is Kannabis vd Bucxtale (Contact vd Heffinck), with whom he won the Cup of Belgium last August. We will also see Jerome Guery with Canora Z (Clintissimo Z) and de 6 year old Crooner d’Hyrencourt Z (v. Crown Z), Gudrun Patteet with Orson Des Hayettes (Mozart des Hayettes) and Sea Coast Kira van het Bokkenhof  (Emerald N.O.P.), Nicola Philippaerts with Chilli Willi (Casall Ask) and the 7 year old Krapuul F (Diamant de Semilly) and Gregory Wathelet with Echo de Virton (Vagabond de la Pomme) and his Full House Ter Linden Z (H&M Forever). There will be 84 Belgian riders competing in Lanaken. 

 

Cassio Rivetti and Rodrigo Pessoa will both be competing for Brazil. Julio Arias will ride for Spain, and we also see a lot of French entries. Aymeric de Ponnat and Anthony Delage will compete for France amongst others. James Billington, Joe Clee, Jessica Mendoza and Nicole Pavitt will be competing for England.

Furthermore we have Marc Bettinger, Felix Hassmann, Harm Lahde and Maurice Tebbel for Germany, Rodrigo Almeida for Portugal and Michael Hughes for America.

The World Championships for young horses will take place from the 21st until the 24th of September in Zangersheide, Lanaken (Belgium).
