Marlon Zanotelli wins Grand Prix of Beervelde after thrilling jump-off
In Beervelde the highlight of this weekend has just been ridden: the CSI3* Grand Prix. In this Grand Prix, 40 combinations entered the show ground. 12 of them managed to keep the wood untouched in the first round and came back for the second round.

In that jump-off it was the fast Brazilian rider Marlon Modolo Zanotelli who took the victory. He was the first rider to enter the show ground for the jump-off and with Extra van Essene (f. Diamant de Semilly) he immediately rode a very fast time. Only few combinations could do it even faster than his 41,29 seconds, but they all got one penalty for jumping. Marlon Zanotelli is the second Brazilian rider to win the Grand Prix of Beervelde. In 2008 Pedro Veniss already added this Grand Prix to his victory list.

The second place went to Wouter Devos. Devos jumped a very fast round with Emporio Van T Holdeinde (f. Fetiche du Pas) but in the end his time of 42,08 seconds weren't enough to beat Zanotelli. The young Belgian talent Gilles Thomas ended on third place. He rode an easy jump-off with Cantario (f. Casiro I) and finished in 44,25 seconds.

The fourth place went to Elizabeth Madden and Simon (f. Mr. Blue). This 18-year old gelding left the wood untouched and finished in 45,74 seconds. Damien Haelterman and Hooligan de Laubry completed the top five.
