The CSI5* -W, UAX Trophy, qualifying class for the 7-10 remaining places of the Mutua Madrileña – Longines FEI World Cup Grand Prix, started this Friday at 20:00. This class has been played under the “Fault&Time” scale and a height of 155 cm.

The stands went crazy with the course made by the last riders of the race. Michael Whitaker, from one of the most famous lineages in the equestrian world, made a spectacular course that gave him the first place riding Jb’s Hot Stuff, in a spectacular time of 52.84 seconds. In this way he ousted the Sweden, Henrik von Eckermann, who finished second riding Chacanno. Third was the German Ludger Beerbaum, who has been in first place in the world ranking of the FEI on multiple occasions and is considered one of the best riders in the history of equestrian jumping, riding Chiara in a time of 56.43 seconds.

The only Spaniard who managed to sneak into tomorrow’s competition was Julio Arias, who finished ninth riding Lennox Luis.

On Saturday at 9:00 pm, the Mutua Madrileña – Longines FEI World Cup Grand Prix will begin, where all the qualified riders will give their best to win in what is the most important event of this fifth edition of Madrid Horse Week.
