Peter Wylde and Shakira Z on top in today's major class at WEF I
At the first week of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF I) the 1.45m major class of the day was claimed by Peter Wylde and the 10-year-old Zangersheide-mare by Sandro Boy x Cruyff, Shakira Z. The pair crossed the finish in 39.359 seconds. Only seven combinations produced a double clear round.

Last year Wylde and the Dutch breeding product won as well the openingclass of the WEF. Shakira Z is a halfsister of Stefanie Bolte's Figaro Z (by For Pleasure).

Laura Chapot followed as runner-up with the 15-years-old ISHD Dual Star (by Quick Star). Chapot crossed the finish in 39.813 seconds. Benjamin Meredith and Always Me placed as third.

The top five was completed by Conor Swail (Grand Cru vd Vijf Eiken) in fourth and Juan Ortiz (Dulien van de Smeets) on five. Geert Lannoo's breeding product Grand Cru is normally ridden by Canada's Vanessa Mannix. The stallion comes from the same family of Quel Homme vd Heffinck (by Quidam de Revel) and Souvenir vd Heffinck (by Heartbreaker).
