Philippaerts brothers on top in the Hong Kong Tatler Trophy
In Hong Kong the last day of the Longines Masters has started with the Hong Kong Tatler Trophy. It was a 1.45m class against the clock, with 18 starting combinations. It was definitely a family affair with both Philippaerts and Whitaker families on top.

It was Olivier Philippaerts who had a good start of the day with the Chellano Z-son H&M Challenge vd Begijnakker Z. They were the second combination to enter the arena and immediately put pressure on the other riders. They had a fantastic clear round in a time of 54.37 seconds. Olivier was three seconds faster than his brother, Nicola Philippaerts. Nicola and the thirteen year old mare Ustina Sitte (Clinton) also had a clear round, but in a time of 57.23 seconds.

It wasn't only the Philippaerts family who did a great job in this class. Also the Whitaker family ended in the top five. William Whitaker ended in third place with the chestnut gelding Fento Chin (s. Chin Chin). They had zero penalties in 57.77 seconds. His uncle, John Whitaker, was just a little bit slower with the nine year old Leen O.L. (s. Berlin). They finished after 58.23 seconds.

The top five was being completed by Germany's Ludger Beerbaum. Beerbaum and Cool Down (s. Catoki) stayed clear in 58.23 seconds.
