Retirement for Mic Mac du Tillard

Retirement for Mic Mac du Tillard
The seventeen year old Mic Mac du Tillard (by Cruising) was seen for the last time in the sports during yesterdays qualification course in Paris. The mare may enjoy her retirement from the sport.

For three years it was David Will who showed the sometimes difficult mare with a lot of success. In 2014 he took over the reins from Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli who won in 2011 the World Championchips with the mare in Göteborg. In 2013 the combination won a bronze medal in the European Championchips in Herning. With David Will in the saddle she had quite the successful career. The pair won several top nodge shows as Hamburg, Aachen, Samorin, Munchen, Al Ain, Miami, Cannes, Kiel, Wien and Abu Dhabi. Their last victory was during the five star competition in Madrid in the 1m55/1m60 five star competition. This weekend in Paris in the five star they ended in second place in the 1m45.

"It's been a very special time for me the last three years. Mic Mac is a very special mare with a real fighter mentality and will always try her best for you. I feel like she could still compete at this level for the next two years, but after all she has done for us, it's now time to give something back. She can be quite difficult sometimes and can make things very difficult for herself during a competition. But because she is so brave she always tries her best. To me she is really special", tells David Will.

The mare will move back to Normandy to enjoy her old days with her owner and breeder. She will be part of the breedingprogramm for a while.
