It was the Saudi-Arabien rider Ramzy Hamad Al Duhami who came in second place with the Belgian bred High Quality J. The Quardrillo son used to be ritten by Belgian rider Gilles Thomas who brought the gelding to a three star level. Now with his new rider he also seems succesful with a time of 70.89 seconds. For French it was Frédéric David who came in third place with his Baloussini (by Baloubet du Rouet) in 75.88 seconds.
The top five was completed with two riders for Qatar, in fourth place it was Mubarak Yousuf A S Al Rumaihi and his Vivaldi K a Dutch bred gelding by Indoctro, followed by Hamad Nasser Al Qadi and his St Lucia (by Darco) in fifth place.
