Spring MET 2017: Kolobova reigns in 1* Grand Prix
In Oliva a few classes were already ridden this morning. One of those classes was the 1m25 class of the one star competition. In this class it was the British rider Imogen Beecroft who took the victory with Untouchable (NI) (f. Andiamo). This KWPN gelding jumped a clear round in 27,75 seconds. The Spanish rider Antonio Fuentes Maiquez and Menthe Verte (f. ended on second place). The 17-year old mare crossed the finish line after 27,82 seconds and didn't touch the wood.

Claire Beecroft and Burgana (f. Vermont) completed the podium. They jumped a clear round in 29,17 seconds. Chloe Mendes and the stallion Quinsberry ended on fourth place with their time of 29,65 seconds. Aleksandra Vinogradova and Haiser (f. Zorro) completed the top five.

In the CSI1* Grand Prix it was Ukraine who took the victory. Oleksandra Kolobova and Understone van de Kapel (f. Happy Wind d'Hof Ten Bos) crossed the finish line after 43,31 seconds. Jaime Guerra Piedra and Cinca 3 (f. Casallo) ended on second place. Oleksandr Onyshchenko rode Gain Line (f. Stolzenberg) in 46,13 seconds to a third place.

Aurore Meurisse and Tassili de Kergane (f. Elan de La Cour) and Jamie Wingrove and Ephonie P (f. Vingino) completed the top five. They ended respectively on fourth and fifth place.

In the first 2-star class of the day, it was Stuart Neads who took the victory. He and his Chaska II (f. Stenograph) left all 1m30 fences untouched and finished in 58,91 seconds. Trevor Coyle and Caju (f. Cristo) ended on second place. Rene Köhler and his mare Saigon B (f. Singulord Joter) cleared the course in 63,04 seconds.

Barry Drea and Okeurst Miss Mexico ended on fourth place. Filippo Tabarini and the 10-year old Grupo Prom Coolman (f. Cartano) completed the top five.
