New horse for Aymeric de Ponnat

New horse for Aymeric de Ponnat
France's Aymeric de Ponnat's main partner, "L'écurie de Montchevreuil" has acquired a new mount for the show jumper.  Columbian rider Rene Lopez' Chanel is now being competed by Aymeric. Last weekend the new combination took the start at the CSI3* in Le Touquet. De Ponnat and the Up to Date-daughter jumped two clear rounds in their debut.

The 9-year-old KWPN-horse has been bought to compete at the highest level. For Aymeric, Chanel will probably be the replacement of his former top ride, Armitages Boys.

Armitages Boy was supposed to go under the hammer at an online auction at the end of September, but remained un-sold as the closing bid at 2,800,000 Euro did not live up to the expectations. Since the closing of the auction the stallion’s future has remained unclear, but now he is back in the ring with his long-time rider De Ponnat. Bidding is still accpeted anonymously.

Recently Aymeric's former ride moved to Stephex Stables with the intention for a sale. Through Stephan Conter’s connections the owners hope to find a new buyer.
