This are the most expensive embryos ever sold at an auction ...

More and more buyers are interested in buying embryos at (online) auctions. Thanks to modern techniques breeders succeed in combining the best sires with damlines .... but what are the top five most expensive embryos ever sold?

Last year, in October 2021, the organizers of the Equbreeding.Auction  auctioned the most expensive embryo ever sold at an online auction. A Swiss buyer payed 76.000 euro for a Chacco-Blue embryo out of the exclusive mare Gatoucha van 't Roosakker. Gatoucha jumped 1.50m courses in her career and marked the breeding with 1.55m jumping offspring.

The runner-up price was payed for an embryo of Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve out of  Whoopie C. The daughter of Mr. Blue jumped at the highest level but is better known as the mother of Tobago Z and Beijing Z. This embryo was sold for 72.000 euro.

The Zangersheide auction ensured the third highest price ever payed for an embryo. In 2017 an embryo by Casall x Rubens du Ri d'Asse switched owners at the Zangersheide.auction for 70.000 euro. Mother of this embryo is Quasibelle du Seigneur, the halfsister to Glock's London.

With a big difference  Fences web  sold an embryo out of Diamanthina van het Ruytershof x Chacfly in 2020 for 61.000 euro. A close price compared to the 60.000 euro a Polish buyer payed for an Emerald embryo x Nabab de Rêve.
