Italian team is ready for Rio de Janeiro
The Italian equestrian team is "ready to fly."  The technical staff and team managers of the three Olympic disciplines have chosen the names of the six riders that will defend the colors of Italy in the next Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

For both Dressage and Showjumping only one ticket was captured by the Italians and in both cases the rider responsible for obtaining it will defend their country at the Games in August. In showjumping it is Italian speed devil Emanuele Gaudiano who will fly to Brazil accompanied by his Caspar 232.  Valentina Truppa and her Chablis will compete in the Dressage ring.

In Eventing the Italians were more successful and are sending out a full team consisting of App. Sc. Stefano Brecciaroli (Apollo vd Wendi Kurt Hoeve), Luke Roman (Castlewoods Jake) Pietro Roman(Barraduff) and  Arianna Schivo (Quefira de l’Ormeau)
