Double win for Frederic Wandres in Dressage World Cup leg Madrid

After a phenomenal gold medal in yesterday's Grand Prix, Frederic Wandres danced again to a great win in this evening's Freestyle of the fourth leg of the dressage World Cup in Madrid. In the saddle of the 15-year-old gelding Duke of Britain FRH (Dimaggio) he set an unbeatable score of more than 84%.

Wandres won the gold again in front of a unanimous jury by riding Duke of Britain FRH (Dimaggio) to a score of 84.830%. The jury was slightly less unanimous with his compatriot Helen Langehanenberg, on the back of the Holsteiner mare Annabelle (Conteur), who achieved silver with a final score of 80.035%. Thamar Zweistra again put down a fantastic test with the NRPS stallion Hexagon's Ich Weiss (Hexagon's Rubiquil), and danced to 79.660% and a bronze medal.

The French Morgan Barbançon and the Oldenburger stallion Sir Donnerhall II OLD (Sandro Hit) took fourth place (78.220%), followed by Joao Victor Marcari Oliva from Brazil on the Lusitano stallion Escorial Horsecampline (Spartacus Csm) (76.655%) .
