Maikel van der Vleuten leads completely Dutch top five at first 4* of Maastricht

In Maastricht, the Dutch show jumping riders are almost unstoppable. Also in the first 4* class of the day, the gold went to a home rider, with Maikel van der Vleuten leading an all-Dutch top five on the back of Equus Tame (Qlassic Bois Margot).

The top three were incredibly close together in this 4* 1.40m class, with only a difference of five hundredths between the golden Maikel van der Vleuten and silver Piet Raijmakers Jr. Van der Vleuten needed 30.25 seconds on Equus Tame, while Raijmakers Jr on the back of van Schijndel's Olaya Z (Ogano Sitte) clocked in at 30.30 seconds. Pim Mulder took third place in a time of 30.42 seconds in the saddle of the Dutch Warmblood Ibylle (Q.Breitling LS).

Outside the top three, Loewie Joppen followed with the KWPN-bred stallion Important Style v. (Falaise de Muze) in fourth, ahead of Sanne Thijssen and Chuck 50 (Clarimo).
