Belgium on top in second leg of FEI Pony Trophy Mechelen

The second leg of the FEI Pony Trophy, the Grand Prix TAO has just been ridden. This was a class for pony riders, ridden over a height of 1m35. 21 combinations entered the show ring but only three of them managed to jump a clear first round. A jump-off with three combinations therefore had to decide about the winner.

Amber Frederick was the first rider to enter the show ring with Easter BB (f. Rocket Grichet). She did what the Belgian audience expected and rode a clear round in 31,21 seconds, leaving the wood untouched. The only thing she could do at this point was waiting to see what the other combinations would do. The second lady rider entering the ring was Caragh Charlton. She and Kosmo van Orchid's (f. Kanshebber) did jump a clear round, but she was a bit slower than Frederick. The only rider who could keep the victory from Frederick at that point was Rhys Williams. He and Kosmo van K-Little however did kick one fence down, resulting in a third place.

Alex Finnet (Still Got Me) and Emma Meric (Venise Des Islots) completed the top five. They ended respectively on fourth and fifth place.
