Jeunnesse van 't Paradijs and Lorenzo de Luca were the only ones under 40 seconds in the barrage. In 39.46 seconds they keep Meredith Michaels-beerbaum with under the saddle Calle 67 (Carell x Capitalist) away from victory. Scott Brash who started with the KWPN Hello Senator (Carambole x Indoctro) finished in 41.22 seconds. Good for a third place.
The top five were completed by the Irish Bertram Allen with Calafrieda at four and German rider Andreas Kreuze with Figor on the fifth place.
