Jos Verlooy and Denis Lynch win Youngster Finals in Leipzig

In the Youngster Tour finals there were no big surprises in Leipzig. Reigning Belgium showjumping champion, Jos Verlooy topped the class for 7-year-olds aboard his Parise van den Dael (I Am Moerhoeve's Star). Earlier this week the pair already placed on stage.. Denis Lynch and Dark Chocolate 48 won with a remarkable time the class for 8-year-old horses.

Together with his mare, Verlooy was almost three seconds faster as Marvin Jüngel aboard his Belgian Warmblood horse,  Pessoa C (Cicero Z van Paemel). The stage was completed by Rene Dittmer with his AES-gelding, Grardje (Genius). The pair finished with one time penalty.

Outside the top three Philipp Schulze Topphoff placed in a fourth position aboard Vivantas, while Fredrica Söderström and Jonica's Cassie de Revell (Kadet ter Putte) completed the top five.

Denis Lynch and Dark Chocolate 48 on top

Earlier Denis Lynch and his Dark Chocolate 48 won the first Youngster Tour qualifiers. Cherry on top the pair also speeded to victory in the finals for 8-year-old horses. The Irish showjumper and his son of Casall were over three seconds faster as Maximilian Weishaupt with his Westphalian mare, Cornezine  (Cornet Obolensky). The pair was followed by Marco Kutscher and his son of Kannan, Karajan.

Also Jörg Möller kept it clear with his 8-year-old Mister Zinedine (Zinedine). With the slowest clear time, good for a fourth place. The top five was completed by Felix Hassmann who jumped one fence down with Elli (Eldorado van de Zeshoek).
