Sameh El Dahan joins Great-Britain equestrian team

Former Grand Prix-winner of the Rolex Grand Slam in Spruce Meadows, Sameh El Dahan has decided to switch nationality, and will compete for Great-Britain in the future.

"As many of you already now know over the last few months Sameh El Dahan has had a very difficult time professionally , and after a lot of soul searching he made the decision that he could no longer continue his career to the level that he wants to whilst he was still under the control of the Egyptian equestrian federation. For him to even take this decision was a huge huge step as Sam is and always will be a very proud Egyptian who loves his country and as someone who has achieved so much for the sport in Egypt winning not just one but several five star Grand prix, putting his name on the Rolex Grand Slam of honour and competing at many championships and nations cups including being an important member of the first winning Egyptian nations cup team and the first team subsequently to win an Olympic place for Egypt. "

The Egypt rider will continue working from his stable in Ireland.
