Sport retirement for Toveks Mary Lou

After a long and successful career, Henrik von Eckermann has decided to retire his trusted Toveks Mary Lou from the sport. "In 2019 Toveks Mary Lou injured herself in Genève. After a long resting period everything seemed ok, but just before we were ready to compete again, she was not fit to compete..."

The Swedish show jumper continues. "We have to be realistic, and she would need another year of rest. Therefor we have decided with the owners, the Tovek family, to retire the mare from the sport. Looking forward to her breeding success."

"I don’t think I have to explain how much this mare has been giving me in life and what she means to me. I don’t want to see this as an end, it’s just a chapter that’s closing and I’m looking forward to see her next one as hopefully a great mother."

The 15-year-old Mary Lou (Montendro) jumped together 12 international victories. She was part of the winning Nations Cup finals team in 2017 in Barcelona. She also won the Rolex Grand Slam in 's Hertogenbosch as well as the Rolex Grand Prix of Windsor.
